Five ways to learn at TLCC

Learning is an art.
And, like practicing or experiencing the arts, it's an individual experience. Everyone requires a unique balance of stimuli to retain information, forge mental connections and strike inspiration. That's why the Tessitura Learning & Community Conference (TLCC) offers an array of learning opportunities to suit your style. We welcome all kinds of learners: visual, auditory, collaborative, hands-on and other. During each TLCC, arts and culture professionals, Tessitura experts, and valued partner and sponsor organizations share endless insights. The experience can be exhilarating — and inundating. So, we've identified five ways to learn at TLCC to help you tap into your most effective styles. Pair this post with the full conference agenda to plan your TLCC experience like a pro.
1. Community Discussions
Our award-winning community is the heart and soul of Tessitura. TLCC’s Community Discussions allow attendees to explore challenges and ideas together. Participants problem-solve in real time through less structured conversation. Here, you'll tap into personal and emotional learning through conversational case studies with your peers. This is an opportunity to present questions, challenges and experiences you’ve encountered in your role. Submit a topic you're passionate about or show up just to listen. Listening in can offer inspiration, especially during new topics you’re eager to learn more about.
2. Tessitura-, community- and sponsor-led sessions
Attend sessions led by Tessitura staff, sponsors or community members for detailed presentations offering actionable, tested insights. Here, you can listen, absorb and respond more slowly than in a discussion group. You’re able to download the presentation slides in advance, then take notes to bring back with you. There’s still space to ask questions and raise puzzles by engaging speakers during the Q&A session after the presentation. Consider networking with panelists and other attendees after these sessions to follow up on questions or findings.
3. Tessitura workshops
Need detailed lessons to practice a specific skill? Want to strengthen your use of Tessitura Analytics? Find hands-on learning and technical instruction at one of several workshops. Tailored to introductory or intermediate experience levels, these limited-capacity sessions deliver structured content to advance your Analytics skills in any version of Tessitura. Space is limited, and signup is required through your conference registration.
4. Innovator Series and general sessions
TLCC’s Innovator Series and general sessions gather the community to step back from the day-to-day work. They remind us all why we dedicate ourselves to this field. If you’re seeking a high-level viewpoint, don’t miss our inspiring general sessions. Topics presented by arts and culture leaders bring a dose of perspective about your impact on this industry. You're sure to leave full of inspiration and ready to propel your organization toward its mission.
5. Affinity group meals
Affinity group meetups offer a unique opportunity to find industry peers with similar life experiences. In Anaheim, TLCC will host breakfasts and lunches for the five affinity groups: LGBTQIA+, Neurodiversity & Mental Wellness, People of Color, People with Disabilities and Women in Tech. Participating can strengthen connections that will be available for you not only at TLCC but also throughout your career.
