More than 30 Florida arts and cultural professionals gathered last week at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, the venue for the upcoming Tessitura Learning & Community Conference (TLCC2018).
The packed agenda for the January 31 meeting included a welcome and first look at TLCC2018 from Don Youngberg, Tessitura Network’s Vice President, Community and TLCC Conference Chair with members of the Tessitura Network’s Conference Planning Team; a keynote presentation on working cross-departmentally with Tessitura by Nicole Keating, Assistant Vice President, Business Intelligence at Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts; Lean Coffee Discussions and a live viewing of the “Tessitura Analytics and You” webinar.
Ticketing, Marketing, IT, Finance, Development, Education, Business Intelligence and Front of House professionals from 11 Florida arts and cultural organizations attended the meeting, which was one of 10 regional Tessitura User Group gatherings held across the globe in January 2018.
One of Tessitura Network’s past Innovator Series speakers, Nicole Keating, spoke on "Tessitura's impact throughout your organization", inspiring attendees to consider how they could use the wealth of information in their Tessitura databases to create a collaborative working culture amongst their teams and provide a better guest experience.
Lean Coffee discussions followed, raising topics that are top of mind for Florida cultural professionals. A simple tool to quickly create an agenda, manage discussions and develop consensus, Lean Coffee is used regularly at Tessitura User Group Meetings, which provide a unique in-person forum for arts and culture professionals in a region across a range disciplines to share challenges, ideas and opportunities.
Attendees joined more than 1,000 Tessitura Software users from across the globe live to view the “Tessitura Analytics and You” webinar for a demonstration of the soon-to-be-released Tessitura Analytics tool by Tessitura Network’s VP of Business Intelligence, John Jakovich and Senior Director, Enterprise Consulting, Erin Koppel.
“One of Tessitura Network’s strengths is the collaboration and knowledge-sharing amongst our users,” says Mr. Youngberg. “Our users have self-formed more than 50 online and regional user groups. 10,000+ Tessitura users across 10 countries are part of our online user community. The ideas, insights and connections that came out of week’s Florida Tessitura User Group meeting were an example of the importance of local community. It’s equally exciting to look ahead to the gathering of our global community at TLCC2018.”
