Box office success stories from Signature Theatre, High Museum of Art and Boston Symphony Orchestra will be featured in a panel discussion at INTIX this week.
Speakers from the three leading arts organizations will join Tessitura Network's Senior Director, Client Development, Mara Hazzard-Wallingford in the session “Box Office Success Stories” this Thursday, January 25, at the 39th INTIX Annual Conference & Exhibition in Baltimore.
Jennifer Buzzell, Director of Marketing & Sales at Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia; Dina Tyson, Coordinator of School Tour Sales, High Museum of Art in Atlanta; and David Winn, Associate Director of Tanglewood Ticketing and Tessitura Liaison at Boston Symphony Orchestra will share how their box office operations are exceeding customer expectations, embodying the missions and brands of their organizations and having a positive impact on bottom line. All three organizations are users of Tessitura’s CRM system, which unifies all core business operations and captures data from every customer interaction, to paint a full picture of every audience member.
Insights shared by the panellists will include how the Boston Symphony Orchestra handled unique challenges and opportunities of the summer season; the High Museum of Art provides a full-service and modernized experience to school groups and the Signature Theatre set a goal to accommodate every customer in the middle of a raging snowstorm.
“This is going to be a stimulating discussion and we’re looking forward to showcasing a few of the many success stories in our extensive worldwide community of arts and cultural organizations,” says Ms. Hazzard-Wallingford, who will facilitate the discussion. “Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are core values for us, and everyone on the panel is eager to share what has worked for them, and why, with their industry peers. All three of their organizations have a strong customer focus, and they will be reminding us that customer service initiatives can bring more revenue to an institution and ultimately benefit everyone.”
The “Box Office Success Stories” session, which is at 10.30am on Thursday, is sponsored by Chairman’s Circle Member, Carrie Farina, MGM Resorts International.
