200+ sessions will be offered to TLCC2018 attendees.
2018 Tessitura Learning & Community Conference program unveiled
4/24/2018
The Tessitura Network has released the schedule for the 2018 Tessitura Learning & Community Conference (TLCC2018), which will feature more than 200 concurrent sessions designed for those working in the arts and culture sector.

Users of Tessitura’s unified CRM platform attend the conference, which is the largest annual global gathering of arts and cultural professionals.
This year’s event will take place in Orlando, Fla. July 15–19 and is expected to bring together close to 2,000 executives, administrators, and creatives from organizations in 10 countries across three continents.
The exciting agenda for TLCC2018 spans keynotes, discussions, peer-to-peer presentations, product training, and workshops. Highlights include:
- Tessitura Analytics: In-depth previews and hands-on workshops for the powerful, easy-to-use Analytics tool coming in Version 15.
- Developer Sessions & Hub: With expanded Developer Hub, there will be more opportunities to meet with software and web developers from the Tessitura staff and community.
- Open Space Discussions provide the opportunity for participants to set the discussion agenda.
- Extended Executive Offering: An Executive Track with a refreshed format will run through the full five days of the conference, and the invitation-only Leadership Summit provides a space designed to facilitate the open exchange of ideas among peers.
- The Great Debate and the BI Face-Off: Back by popular demand, these sessions present widely divergent opinions on two vital topics. The Great Debate tackles the question of patron anonymity, and the Face-Off features three panelists’ approach to tackling business intelligence scenarios.
General Session speakers include Tessitura Network CEO Jack Rubin and President Andrew Recinos. Chuck Reif, Senior VP of Technology, and Kristin Darrow, Senior VP of Digital, will team up for the much-anticipated annual technology update. Speakers for the keynote session and Tessitura’s Innovator Series Live will be announced in May.
Guided by Tessitura Network’s Conference Planning Team, the voluntary Planning Committee is made up of 180+ members of the community of Tessitura Software users.
“I am continually impressed with the focus and great delivery of content.”

“The community plans and creates much of the TLCC content, and this is what makes the session content so relevant and valuable for attendees,” says Don Youngberg, Tessitura Network’s VP of Community and the TLCC Conference Chair. “We applaud those in our community who have volunteered their time and expertise — as well as those on our own team developing thought leadership, keynote, and training sessions — for pulling together a stunning program in 2018.”
TLCC2018 attendees can create their own conference agenda on the Conference Portal from a number of interest areas tailored to job function, including Administration, Development, Digital, Education, Executive, Finance, IT, Membership, Marketing, Ticketing, and Visitor Services.
“I'm never disappointed with the level of content or the number of new ideas and connections I come home with,” said Melissa Scott, Director of Data Systems at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. “The conference is something I look forward to all year.”
Jason Carbajal, Box Office Manager at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, reflected on the three conferences he’s attended: “I am continually impressed with the focus and great delivery of content. I am grateful for the inclusive approach to everyone, no matter how large or small the organization.”
“Attend with an open mind,” advises Anne Schleigh, Assistant Operations Manager at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. “You are certain to find topics, people, and conversations that will illuminate your role, direction, and scope of engagement within your home organization. That is the beauty of a conference like TLCC — it isn't just product presentation, but member-driven learning from all spheres, coming together to engage our customers and make their experience better than they thought possible.”
