2/7/2018
Version 14.1 News
By the time you receive this, Tessitura Version 14.1 will be released and production ready! You can read about all the changes here. In addition to a newly designed List and Output Manager which is part of the Business Intelligence Initiative, v14.1 includes these important new features:
- General Data Protection Regulation support: Version 14.1 will include functionality that will help organizations comply with important European Union regulations. This functionality includes support for the Right to be Forgotten, in which constituent records can have all personal information permanently removed. It also includes requirements for Protected Individuals, such as minors, where only certified users can view certain accounts.
- Product Creation Utility: With this feature you will easily be able to create a long run of a single event/performance or create a daily schedule of events, including packages, for a specified period of dates.
- Pricing Rules Enhancement: In v14.1 you will be able to map price types for most types of pricing rules so that a single pricing rule can change, for example, an Adult price type to Adult Member and a Child price type to Child Member.
- New Credit Card Handling Features: Version 14.1 will introduce a new way of installing Tessitura that is designed to make PCI certification much easier for users that will be using validated Point To Point Encrypted devices only. More on this below.
P2PE-Only Mode
Complying with PCI regulations can be one of the most onerous responsibilities that our members face, and we have talked to many of you about ways to lessen that burden. In Version 14.1 we've introduced an option which may make that process easier by allowing you to use a much-abbreviated, self-assessment questionnaire (P2PE-HW SAQ). If you are using Payment Express or Mastercard (in the UK) as your payment provider and using their P2PE certified solution and devices, and are using a hosted window on your website, you can now choose an option in TIM (Tessitura Installation Manager) that will install Tessitura in P2PE-only mode. This means that the application will not allow the input or storage of any credit card data and that all credit card information is transmitted only between the payment provider and those devices or hosted window. You also still have the option of storing tokens for recurring billing. This option will also be available for Vantiv users once Vantiv updates their P2PE certification. Older Vantiv devices may have to be swapped for the new P2PE validated devices at that time.
Version 14 Service Packs
We are continuing to release v14 service packs on a monthly basis, and this has proven to be a much easier process to manage than the older hotfix method. Read all about Service Packs right here.
Development Sandbox Now with Full v14.1
