TN Express Web Feasibility Study

Since Tessitura v14, we have worked to replace the SOAP API with the newer and more flexible REST API. As of June 30, 2020, the SOAP API will no longer be supported. Along with this transition, organizations with existing custom websites will need to update their site to support the new REST API. This period of transition leads to two questions:

  • How will you update your website to incorporate the latest advances in web API technology available from Tessitura?
  • Can you use TNEW as your purchase path or do you need a fully custom solution?

What is TNEW?

TN Express Web™ (TNEW) is a platform that allows you to leverage your Tessitura system on the web with minimal cost, time, and overhead. Because compatibility and support for future releases of the Tessitura platform and its API are included with TN Express Web (TNEW) v7, it may be a great solution for many members that need to transition away from the SOAP API. TNEW is designed to be a flexible, secure, hosted web purchase path that is fully integrated with your Tessitura database, and TNEW works in tandem with content management systems. Visit this page for more information about TNEW.

Quality decision making

We have designed a TNEW Feasibility Study to help your organization reach a quality decision about how TNEW suits your needs during this API transition. This study delivers:

  • A validated inventory of your current Tessitura-integrated web functionality
  • A web engagement roadmap for the web journey you wish your patrons to experience
  • A gap analysis of your inventory and the web engagement roadmap
  • Your alignment to TNEW native functionality, with insight on what functionality is possible with additional customization and what is out of scope

The outcomes of this study include organizational consensus on Tessitura-integrated web requirements, a clear definition of how TNEW can serve those requirements, direction on how your organization will navigate this API transition, and an excellent foundation for a website RFP, if needed.

Sample deliverable of a web engagement roadmap

The Tessitura member can then make an informed, data-driven decision as to whether to move forward with TNEW. If TNEW is not selected, the deliverables that we provide can form the basis for a custom web vendor request for proposal.
