V11.0.3 Patch is available for download on TASK Online

As announced to all licensees on June 1, 2012, there are two new Solutions available on TASK for v11.0.3. Please note that RAMP customers need take no action at this time.  RAMP licensees will be contacted regarding the installation of this patch.

Summary

There are two new Solutions available on TASK for v11.0.3:

  • Solution #43 is a patch to apply to an existing instance of Tessitura Version 11 — primarily for those organizations that are either live or in testing of the Version 11 General Release.
  • Solution #44 is a complete Version 11 upgrade – this is for organizations that have not yet begun the v11 upgrade, and is a means to upgrade directly to v11.0.3. This replaces Solution #41.

Details: Solution #43

A patch for the v11 General Release has been posted on TASK in Solution #43 of the “Version Upgrades and Patches” workspace. The official build number for this release is v11.0.3. Please note that you must be running the v11.0.2 General Release in order to install this update

The Network considers the installation of this patch to be mandatory as opposed to an optional release due to the number of issues fixed in the patch since the General Release was made in February and because a number of new features have been included in this patch. The introduction of new features and some changes in functional behavior have been introduced in the patch based on direct feedback received from licensees running v11 in production and from users deeply involved in testing the General Release.

The v11_Post_Release_Readme.zip file in Solution #43 includes detailed instructions for installing the patch, updated v11 Release Notes that outline what has been changed in the patch and an updated version of the “What’s New in v11?” document. Please review these documents closely before embarking on the installation of the v11.0.3 update.

When submitting questions or issues related to the v11.0.3 patch via TASK, please select “11.0.3” from the “Version/Build” dropdown.

Details: Solution #44

IMPORTANT NOTE: The v11 General Release Has Been Updated in TASK

In a departure from the Network’s standard practice, the v11 General Release has been reposted on TASK in Solution #44 of the “Version Upgrades and Patches” workspace. This Solution replaces the General Release as originally posted in Solution #41 in February, 2012. This current posting of the General Release will install the fully patched v11.0.3 version of the General Release and has been deployed so that licensees can install the most current version of the release in one step without having to apply the patch subsequent to the installation of v11.0.2.

Network Recommendations

  • If you are running the v11 General Release (V11.0.2) in production, you would apply the v11.0.3 patch from TASK “Version Upgrades and Patches” Solution #43.  The patch should first be installed on your test system prior to updating the live environment and as always a full backup of your production system should be completed before updating your live system.
  • If you have already downloaded the v11 General Release (V11.0.2) from TASK but have not yet begun to install the release, we advise you to download the updated General Release from TASK “Version Upgrades and Patches” Solution #44 and use those files and instructions for the installation. This will ensure that you are running the most current version of v11 without having to apply the patch after the General Release is in place.
  • If you have installed the v11 General Release (v11.0.2) in test but not in production, we advise you to install the (v11.0.3) patch in test to ensure that testing proceeds with the most current v11 code.  When you are ready to install v11 in production, you may either install the initial General Release (v11.0.2) that you are now running in test and apply the v11.0.3 patch (required) or download the updated v11 General Release (v11.0.3) from Solution #44 and install that version so that you can upgrade production to the most current release at one time, negating the need to install the patch.

If you have any questions about the patch, the updated General Release or need further advice to determine the most expedient way to utilize these new TASK Solutions to deploy the current release of v11, please submit a TASK help ticket so that Support can assist you.

Licensees are requested to contact Bob Bell at bbell@tessituranetwork.com to let him know when v11 has been installed in production.
