Notice regarding upcoming required updates for Windows SQL Server, Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems

One provision of the Tessitura Network Support Standards agreement is that members are given at least six months notice of required updates to secondary software or hardware including SQL Server.

Microsoft has announced that mainstream support for SQL Server 2008R2 is ending in July of 2014. Currently Tessitura V12 is supported on both SQL Server 2008R2 and SQL Server 2012.

Tessitura version 14.0, which is scheduled for release in 2016, will be supported only on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014. As such, all network members will be required to upgrade to one of these releases in order to begin working with Tessitura v14. As is the case with SQL Server 2008R2, either the Enterprise or Standard edition is acceptable. SQL Server 2016 is planned for release later this year and will also be supported when it is released.

In addition, neither Windows Server 2003 nor Windows XP will be supported for any server or client applications with Tessitura v14. In order to install Tessitura v14, all server applications must run on Windows Server 2008R2 or Windows Server 2012 and all workstations must be running Windows v7 or later.

Special note to RAMP licensees:
While the required updates to Windows Server 2008R2 or Windows Server 2012 and the required update to SQL Server 2012 will not impact you as these upgrades will be taken care of for you in the RAMP network, the required update to Windows 7 or later for all workstations accessing Tessitura will be required for all licensees including RAMP users..
