May 2017 Shared Reports Highlights

Several new additions have been added to the TASK Shared Reports library, now containing 159 entries comprised of Infomaker reports and screens, SSRS reports, SQL utilities and custom interceptors and plugins provided by the community to augment the standard Tessitura offerings. A few recent highlights below include custom utilities and a custom SSRS report that may be interesting to Ticketing, Membership and Development departments.

PRINT AT HOME GIFT CERTIFICATE SERVICE

This service allows you to sell gift certificates for print at home via TNEW. These can be sent to the purchaser or the recipient by email or by post. If email is selected, TNEW saves the certificate details including an optional message to the recipient. A Windows Service then uses a PDF template to generate a Print at Home Gift Certificate and email that to the customer.  (Shared Reports Solution #357)

RENEWAL INCENTIVE UTILITY

This SSRS utility deals with offering extra membership time if someone renews before their current membership expires. The report can be run in Review Only mode to preview results or Update Mode to update system data and generate output. Its purpose is to find people who have the selected membership level and have renewed, sometime within the selected date range, before their most recent membership expired. The utility’s parameters allow selection for the member's current membership level, their newest level, through which channel they bought their newest membership, etc.  When run in update mode the utility will: 

• Add an extra month (or months, depending on your parameter setting) to their newest membership expiration date
• Add a note in that membership about the date extension
• Cancel their acknowledgement letter (in other words the cards that will have the wrong expiration date after the report is run)
• Add a CSI about the expiration date extension and close that CSI
• Add a CSI to request new membership cards (which will have the new expiration date)

CONTRIBUTION ACTIVITY REPORT 

This SSRS report runs in Constituent Mode only; pulls all gifts, pledges, gift adjustments by contribution date; and pulls all pledge payments by payment date (transaction date). The .csv export contains additional columns not displayed in the PDF report. (Shared Reports Solution #364)
