v12.5.1 Hotfix Available for Payment Express (V1251HF52)

V12.5.1 HF 52 has been released for licensees on v12.5.1 of Tessitura using Payment Express for payment card processing. This hotfix adds a new "reversalByRefund" configuration property to the Payment Gateway configuration with a default value of "No". Prior to applying this hotfix, all reversal transactions are processed in Payment Express as a Refund transaction type. The addition of the new configuration property with this hotfix allows this behavior to be changed. Setting this new property to the default value of "No" changes the existing behavior and instead processes reversal transactions as a Void transaction type in Payment Express. Processing reversals as Voids may be desirable because Refunds are processed at the discretion of the card processor and may not be processed immediately, thus leaving funds allocated on the customer’s account until the card processor completes the refund. Void transactions release these funds immediately. Setting the new property added by this hotfix to "Yes" will maintain the pre-hotfix behavior of processing reversal transactions as a Refund transaction type.

PLEASE NOTE: Void transaction types are not supported for all acquirers. Please contact Payment Express to confirm that your acquirer supports Void transactions before applying the hotfix or changing the setting. It should also be noted that the Payment Express test endpoint does not support Void transaction types.  The hotfix can be downloaded from TASK Version Upgrades and Patches Solution #96.
