Plug-ins for Tessitura v15.2 and TNEW v7

Extend Tessitura and TNEW functionality with one or more specialized plug-ins. Unlike customizations designed for a single organization, these plug-ins bring together best practices from across the industry to accomplish the shared needs of Tessitura users. Plug-ins are compatible with Tessitura v15.2 and TNEW v7. In v16, plug-ins will be deprecated for standard functionality or replaced with a v16 Extension.

We currently offer:

Photo Membership Cards at Point of Sale

Upgrade the member experience by adding customer photos to membership cards at the point of sale.

Sample membership card for Autumn Ridge Performing Arts Center

With this Plug-in, you can open a separate application to search for an active member, take their photo via web cam, and save it the constituent record — without any additional uploads or file transfers. A color membership card with the photo can then be printed and presented to the patron in real time.

Discounted Memberships via Promo Codes

Offer discounts on memberships via promo code.

This TNEW plug-in lets you offer a patron the ability to add a discounted membership to their shopping cart, or apply a discount to a membership at checkout, by entering a valid promotion code.

The membership discount via promotion code plug-in is highly configurable. HTML content, discounting options and plug-in behavior can all be configured per promotion code and membership level.

This plug-in is deprecated in v16 and replaced with standard functionality. Learn more about our exciting new membership features in the v16 hub.

Online Membership Benefits Tracking

Track your member ticketed benefits in Tessitura and allow your members to view and purchase their entitlements online through TNEW, and in the Tessitura mobile app.

With the TNEW “Exceed Entitlement” notification screen, a member will receive a notification if they exceed their entitled benefit. Based on your business rules, the item will either be charged at full price or removed.

The “My Entitlements” screen in TNEW shows members their remaining entitlements and current usage. The messaging on this page is configurable.

Add-on Items

Maximize your revenue by suggesting related items to your customers.

An illustration of how the Add-on Items Plug-in works. Within a mockup of a laptop, a web page displays the top text 'Add-ons,' with options to purchase valet parking or self parking.

The Add-on Items plug-in lets you display related products to customers on their way to the cart. This creates a compelling call to action for your customers to purchase with one click.

When your customer adds an item to their basket, the plug-in displays a custom page that suggests related add-on items. Using keywords in Tessitura, you can configure which suggestions should appear with specific products. Anything they add will appear in the cart alongside the original item.

This plug-in is deprecated in v16 and some features replaced by the Additional Items TNEW feature

Ticket Limits

Help prevent ticket reseller activity by limiting the number of tickets a customer can purchase to an individual performance. The Ticket Limits plug-in, which works in TNEW as well as in the application, displays a clear message if a customer adds too many tickets to their cart. The message informs the customer of the limit, offering them the choice to go back or to remove the tickets from the cart.

The specific number of tickets is configurable by event, and different limits can be set based on rank types. You can also configure all the relevant messaging in TNEW and in the application.

This functionality is available as an Extension in v16.

Special Seat Notifications

Display a clear notification to your patrons when they have added a special seat to their cart.

This plug-in inserts a page in the transaction flow after a special seat is added to the cart. The customer will receive a message informing them of the special nature of the seats and will be allowed to either keep the seats or select new ones.

Special seat notification

The Special Seat Notification is configurable for any seat type, including obstructed view, partial view, wheelchair, and wheelchair-companion seats. Content and messaging, including button labels, are configurable. You can enforce a limit per seat type, and specify that a seat type is valid only if added with a second seat type (for example, a wheelchair companion seat would only be valid with a wheelchair seat).

This functionality is available as a TNEW feature in v16.

Cart-Specific Payment Plans Online

Gain more control over the display of Payment Plan options on orders.

With this TNEW plug-in, control the display of particular Payment Plans options based on mode of sale, packages, or performances.

Set up as many payment plan schedules as you want in Tessitura, then control what is offered by product, package, or mode of sale. TNEW only displays the payment plans that you want to offer for each product.

This functionality is available as an Extension in v16.

Automated Donation Asks

Increase charitable donations to your organization with this TNEW plug-in.

Automate donation asks on your TNEW Web Payment Page. This plug-in allows you to offer a patron the choice of a round-up donation, suggested amount, self-determined contribution, or no gift.

The donation ask can be configured by mode of sale and order amount. The message content, labels, and button tags are all configurable. The ask will not display if the cart already contains a contribution and the plug-in will not be displayed a second time to a patron.

This functionality is available as the Conditional Checkout Donation TNEW feature in v16

Personalized Subscription Contribution Asks

This TNEW plug-in presents a personalized contribution ask upon adding a new subscription or renewal to the cart.

Personalized messaging, suggested amount, and default amount are all derived from Tessitura local tables. You can configure the page text, including the title and button copy. Contributions will be saved to either an on account payment method or a fund, with the option of creating a Customer Service Issue (CSI).

This functionality is available as an Extension in v16.

Constituent Contribution Summary Receipts

Email a contribution summary receipt to show your constituents all the contributions they gave in a specific year. The HTML receipts are responsive for any device, and the utility can attach a PDF receipt to the email for your patrons’ records.

The utility can be used to pull a constituent’s giving history for any timeframe you specify, such as a quarter or a fiscal year. Receipts include a unique tax receipt number, as required by Canadian law.

The utility is free. To request it, just submit a support ticket.

This utility will be deprecated in a future v16 release and replaced with standard functionality.

Contribution Payment Plans

Give your patrons a simple pledge payment plan option. This TNEW Extension allows a donor to select a recurring payment plan for a contribution that has been added to the cart.

With this Extension, the on-account payment method will be specified in the custom billing schedule table. The Extension creates a Customer Service Issue (CSI) to capture the payment plan details and form fields. Additional customer information can also be captured as needed.

Contact Permissions

Capture Contact Permissions in Tessitura within the TNEW purchase path.

The account section of TNEW can be used to capture customers’ contact preferences. On adding an item to a cart, Contact Permissions can be presented, allowing production specific controls. Contact Permissions can be presented on the checkout page with the option to link the display to items in the cart.

This plug-in is free. To request it, submit a support ticket.

Contact permissions are available as a TNEW feature in v16.
